Victory Pete
I have a 2014 SG 61 Standard with coil splitting. I changed out the 57 Classics with 500T and 496R pickups. I noticed the coil that gets cut out is the one with the adjustable pole pieces closest to the bridge and neck. It seems it is the opposite of what I would expect. I know I could rewire it to do this but I was just wondering why Gibson has it this way in the instructions. I didn’t check the 57 Classics that came out of it.
