I sent the serial number on a Les Paul I bought new to Gibson customer service and here is what I got back:
Thanks for contacting Gibson Brands. Your serial number was used on a 2005 Les Paul Standard Faded model which had satin honeyburst finish, nickel hardware, ‘50’s round profile mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, mahogany body with carved maple top and Burstbucker Pro humbucking pick-ups. Thanks.

Did the hum occur in all the inputs?
Just has the single input.

I like Marshalls! good idea!
Ever been to the Tool Shed in Worcester? I’m thinking of dropping by to check it out.

Okay, I picked up a new Brand M amp and problem solved.
The Brand F amp was fine until I plugged in a cable, and that is when the loud hum would start.

I looked up the serial number and it was from 2017. I wonder what its story is.

You might have attachments that I don't see. In the upper right of the screen there should be a dropdown next to your name. Click that dropdown and you should see "my attachments". There's not a way to easily delete them from that screen but it will show their location and provide a link to that topic. If you can get to these posts you made, you can then edit and delete any attachments you may have.
They don't give much storage space here at all. Some sites do, some don't. I've found it so much easier to just use a hosting service like imgur.
I just tried that, it deleted the post from the topic, but not the attachment.

I deleted several pics from 2022 back. See if that freed up some space.
It gave me back about 65K

I can try to go in and delete some of your older pics if you like.
That would be good, how about anything older than a year?

I don't think you can. This forum software is almost as good as that from the 90's.
Great, you'd think it would rate an upgrade.

I'm out of room for attachments, how do I delete old ones?

You’re right but there are Richie’s out there who can pony up for one, and they will tell you these are the S-hit. They play and feel nice. I know I played one. But just stop with 10k guitars Gibson it’s insult to people who want to like your brand. Your making guitars that basically only Jim Irsay can afford.
Oh you know I’m a Martin guy, and fuk them for 10K D-45’s.
I've got a Martin I picked up used a few years back, and I don't even know what model it is.

I just don't get the point of paying a fortune for a new guitar that looks old.
When I lay out the cash for a new guitar, I want it to look pristine!

I liked listening to Bruce up to the point I enlisted, but not so much afterwards.

I listen to artists based on their t-shirt and poster merch. Not their music cause I’m shallow.
Spoken like a true skimmer!

Since Gibson had a tendency to reuse serial numbers from time to time, a photo would help identify it.

how loud is this hum anyway? Some line level noise is normal.
Not too bad with the tube amp, but pretty loud with the solid state.

Yes it’s an amp issue, but I have not looked further into it yet.
