  1. I spoke with Gibson and through the serial number they confirmed it was a 94 Les Paul Special DC, but according to blue book, the only Les Paul Specials DC made in 1994 would have been either the 1960 reissue or the LPS Centennial edition which has gold hardware, a different pick guard, different tuners and a wrap around stop bar/tailpiece combo (mine has all chrome hardware, black pickguard, ABR bridge). Still not 100% certain, although I suspect there may have been variations in the hardware, or this was custom ordered with the ABR bridge and the chrome tuners...
  2. I'm outside the US it's a bit difficult- I always thought it was a 94 as well. It has different tuning pegs than any 97 I have seen. I don't know if I should post the serial # in full here...but thanks!
  3. Hi, In 1997 I purchased a brand new re-issued 1960 Les Paul Special double cut cherry red serial number 94***** and I was told it was from the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville. *The store I bought it from was a reputable store. Were any of the early CS models issued with "normal" serial numbers? I saw a another one like it built on the same day and it was worth quite a bit more than other comparable models.
