Most Gibson guys admire other players that play Strats and Tele guitars but would never own one as second guitar as the neck alone is a deal breaker. There are not any acceptable alternatives. BUT?. A Gibson LP guy has a Blog ....the Second Best Guitar on the Planet is showing a really cool idea. He combined the best of a Tele and a Strat in one guitar. No whammy, a Tele bridge PU and a Strat for the middle and neck. It has a Gibson spec neck on it so it feels and plays like a Gibson. Read the Blog and come back and share what you think.
