  1. I own it, but being a bass player, I did not know what it was. Not for sale, right now I'm just trying to figure out if I should insure her or not.
  2. That's great news. Thanks for the info.
  3. Hi, Can someone help me identify this guitar? To me it looks like a J-45, but I know nothing about it. The guitar needs work, it has a crack at the base of the neck and in the head, and the bridge has seen better days. The number at the bottom of the neck is '1206' and there is no banner logo. Thanks Lars
  4. Estate sale during Covid... most people stay home so it's easier to get the good stuff.
  5. Thank for the info, I will check it out. It will definitely cost more to restore it than I payed for it... I payed $50 (+ $5 for the stand). I will just keep it as is for now and add original parts as I find them, the guitar sounds really good and I don't have any plans to part with it.
  6. It looks like they changed from the L-6 tuning keys to the L-5S tuning keys, does that make sense? See images below:
  7. That makes total sense. Thanks for your help!
  8. Thanks, that is great info, I am a bass player and know very little about guitars. The head says L-5 so that's a bit confusing.
  9. Hi, I just found a Gibson Custom L-5 natural solid body at an estate sale. I have not been able to find any info on it. The serial number is 907259. Does anyone know anything about this model. The bridge is very different than on any of the photos I find on the internet. Thanks, Lars
