Ah the good ole days, I miss the live music seen of the bay area. I literally went to hundreds of concerts the 20myears I lived there. Yeah I lived half way between san jose and san fran so i went to both when I was shopping.

yeah I remember that one as well, I like SanFran better, I always was able to negotiate better deals.

I lived in Fremont 20years, might have seen you there.

San Francisco, At the time there were only 5 Guitar Centers Nation wide. So at some point they probably had more. I'm trying to track down these guitars to find out how many are still around.

I still have receipt but so far haven't found COA, I was gonna take it to Gibson and let them authenticate it and see if they would replace COA

I have one i bought new in 80 and it has black volume and tone knobs, there were 5 in the store. They were made exclusively for guitar center only 50 made, i could have had number 2 but there were hanger dents on all of them except the one I bought which is 29 so unless someone changed the knobs you don't have an original.
