Ok, so LG2, it is! Possibly a 1946 but still trying to figure out the 3 digit serial number.

Got it, so it’s an LG2 or 3 apparently. I’ve read through the Gibson serial numbers sites and can’t seem to find a 3 digit serial number without a letter. Really appreciate the guidance!

Now that I look, the bracing on back is laddered and the bracing on top is X.

Thank you for the response. On the back or top of guitar from the inside? If back, then it looks like LG1. Any ideas on identifying the year? Nick

Hello All, I’m trying to identify the model and age of an old Gibson of mine. I believe it’s an LG-2. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Been curious for years. Play it everyday but never looked into it. Serial number is either 346 or 846. Thanks! Nick
