I’ve had my new Gibson L-00 Standard for about a week. It’s my first Gibson. I absolutely love it! It’s easily the best (and most expensive lol) acoustic I have owned. Can you all recommend a nice capo? I’ve heard of Thalia but don’t know much about them. I have a Kyser quick change capo but didn’t know if that is okay to use on this guitar. Thanks.

Hey, mystery solved. I looked through the cool stuff that Gibson had sent in the guitar case; and the other strap thing was in there. So I guess it’s an option if you want to attach it. But I’m not sure I can ever bring myself to screw this into this guitar. Lol. This is my first Gibson. I’m blown away. The smell, this finish. the clarity of how it sounds. Plays great too. I just love it. Thx everybody.

Hey everybody. I just (literally today) received my first Gibson! It is a brand new L-00 standard in vintage sunburst from Sweetwater. It’s incredible. The smell, the finish, the sound; it’s just perfect. Beautiful! I do have a question. I don’t see a two places to attach a guitar strap, is this normal for L-00?

Hi Everybody. I have always wanted to own a Gibson acoustic and I’m going to buy one this week. I am hoping for a little expertise, and advice from you all. I live in the middle of nowhere, so there is really nowhere to try out guitars. There is a guitar center 2 hours away, and today I drove down to sample what they had. I’ll end up having to order online. I have mainly been an electric guitar player, and I have a Fender Ultra Telecaster, I love the way the neck feels on that. I am leaning toward buying a Gibson L-00 Standard. I don’t really like huge acoustics, so I think/hope this will be perfect. Hopefully not too small though. Apparently, the L-00 standard has a “SlimTaper” neck. Does anyone know what that means exactly and how it plays? Is that different than a “SlimTaper D”? Also, is the action good on the L-00? The only Gibson they had at Guitar Center today was a G-45, it has the “advanced response” neck, and I wasn’t very impressed. That neck felt way too chunky and thick for me personally. I’m hoping the SlimTaper neck on the L-00 will be very different. Thanks for any advice of input.
