  1. Honestly surprised with how well it sounds. Maybe I am just deaf, but I compared it to my CS mystic orpheum and to my ear it sounds better than the Custom Shop when comparing the two guitars.
  2. Good afternoon all, So yesterday I made a very impulsive purchase on a 1973 Gibson Hummingbird. I’ve played a few from the modern era but have always always always been fascinated by the vintage Gibsons. The price was so good I didn’t even think about racking up more debt. Does anyone have experience playing these? I have heard many stories about the X bracing being duds. Any stories further? Let’s pray I love this. Thanks, j
  3. Evening everyone, So I have always been a sucker for goldtops and do not mind if people refinish instruments. A few days ago I came across a 1984 Gibson Les Paul Studio that was refinished to a Goldtop and thought it was awesome. Ebony fretboard too! HAD to have it. Anyone ever play these old studios or have anymore information on them? It would be much appreciated. Thankfully Sam Ash was able to work with me heavily on the pricing. I know this one is going to be a keeper! Thanks in advance!

Pretty cool story that I thought I would share. I was scrolling on Facebook Marketplace and came across a “Vintage Gibson Guitar” listed for $500. I immediately messaged the guy 13 minutes after the guitar was listed. I currently live in Michigan and the guitar ended up being in Pittsburg, PA. Owner inherited the guitar from his father who passed away. I am so thankful he held the guitar for me til Friday (yesterday). I ended up driving the distance and picked up the guitar early morning. Made a day out of it in PA and visited a museum and the pickle festival. Plugged it into the amp when I got home and this thing rocks.
