  1. Hi, I'm Anita and I live in Minnesota. My husband and I just purchased a Gibson B-45 12 string acoustic guitar and this is my first stop on putting a date to it (probably late 1960's early 1970's?). I have read the relevant post about how to get that done, but I thought I would introduce myself before diving into that rabbit hole. It needs some repairs and I look at it as more of a rescue than an investment. I am very much a beginner as a player. I don't know many chords and I'm pretty lousy at moving from chord to chord. However, I'm not new to music. I am a flute player and a singer. I am taking piano lessons currently (I'm on a singer/songwriter track). I thought perhaps joining an online community would help keep me engaged and motivated to really get practicing. My husband is the real player. He's been playing longer than I've been alive. His baby is a 1940's Gibson LG-2. I'm seeking a goal guitar and I currently play a Fender CP-100. I like smaller body guitars (I know the B-45 is really not that at all, but I don't hate it). He'll probably play it way more than I will. Anyways, I'm sure as I get further along in my guitar journey, I will have questions that only seasoned guitar folks will understand and/or have tips and advice about. So hello everyone 🙂
