  1. The Schaller bridge resemblance is what I thought of myself, but it looks all wrong! It plays really well though! The guy I got it from was a junkie who had been playing it for ages.. As far as I know, he didn’t have the skills needed to do something like this.
  2. I thought it was a harmonica bridge myself, but this is unlike any I could find online. The nuts the tighten it to the thread are weird, and it appears to be mounted on a base-plate of sorts that was machined into the body. I know stuff was done to it, it has a kill button next to the selector switch, but the neck pickup is definitely Gibson.. (I think) I looked for markings when I was cleaning up the guitar when it came in.. It was in such a bad state, it looked fit to throw away..
  3. Iast week I was taking stock of my guitars to see if anything needed to be cleaned, repaired or upgraded, and once again noticed the strange bridge on my The Paul. For some reason, this guitar is fitted with a bridge I have never seen on any Gibson before. I looked all over the internet, but I can’t find a picture of a similar bridge anywhere. It looks stock to me, but what is it? Unfortunately, the guy I bought the guitar from isn’t around anymore, so I can’t ask him. Can anybody tell me what this is?
