  1. It's a fabulous thing - who knows where or how it came to be. But at least this possibility is ruled out : )
  2. Just checked - the one on this guitar doesn't look like any Gibson ones I can find - so guess that about wraps that up? Thanks again...
  3. Very standard hex socket for allen wrench. What does that tell me? Thanks for your reply!
  4. Way way less than that ; ) I assumed - seemingly correctly – that it was 70s Japanese that had been messed with. Pre law suit because of the headstock - though the headstock feels and looks really authentic to me -as a a non expert. I just liked its vibe. It plays stunningly - great neck and action - and the sound is divine. I have a number of 70s Japanese guitars - all great in their way - but non come close to this one.
  5. The pots are not like anything I've seen on an L5. They could well be 80s - but to me the guitar overall feels older. Arched top and back both look like they've seen a lot of years. The old (and really gorgeous sounding) P90s equally are very non standard. Thanks for your help!
  6. Bought this as a copy - I assumed maybe 70s Japanese? Seller knew nothing at all about its history. Build quality is excellent - but it's the playability and sound that are astonishing. The lack of serial number on the headstock proved it was not Gibson I thought until I heard recently about Norlin not having stamps - and some had decals/stickers. Would value any input. It's a great guitar and I'm really pleased with who ever made it.
