  1. Awesome, thanks again for the great info. It genuinely doesn't bother me one way or the other on the CS element. It's novel that the headstock and case are stamped with Gibson Custom Shop, but this could either be a guitar hand-built by Orville himself or one of 200,000 glue-and-screw guitars that rolled off the line in Zheng'an, I'd still love it. Sounds killer, feels great, the neck is bigger than I normally prefer but I've adapted.
  2. Just checked the inside and it says Memphis. I really appreciate your insight. Are you saying this guitar is suspect? Regardless, I love it, it feels good and sounds good, I love just looking at it and taking out my paint brush (sneaky awesome way to brush out dust in those nooks & crannies) and rag to clean it, and I've actively and blissfully played it for 15+ hours since I got it last weekend and it's just what I wanted and I'm keeping it so the hard truth is fine.
  3. really like this forum a lot and looking forward to sharing insights and thoughts -- and pics! god I love looking at guitars and spend too much non-playing time looking at them. even my two gibsons, when I pick them up, I can't help but turn them over and around in my hands and gaze at their absolute beauty. for some reason, the wood of a gibson just speaks to me, in a way that my strat or jackson does not. still love those guitars! but I don't get all weird and mystical with them like I do with the gibs. and speaking of which, let's see them Fender Player Stratocaster HSS Jackson Rhoads JS32T FSR Gibson Les Paul Standard '60s Bourbon Burst - SD Greeny & Gibson DC AJ Standard High Gain Ibanez Mezzo SRMD200 Medium Scale Bass- Roadster Orange Metallic Breedlove Passport C250/CMe Acoustic-Electric Cordoba Cadete 3/4 size Nylon String Gibson SG ‘61 Tobacco Burst
