I recently went to the Gibson garage and had a great time but was absolutely blown away that the price of the reverse firebird after tax was around 5k… and was the cheap one. The staff was extremely helpful but also perplexed as to why this was a “custom” shop item as there is nothing special about this guitar that is custom but is just a low run due to the fact that they don’t sell many… which isn’t helped by the insane price. An excellent guitar in every way. I am at a point in my life where I actually can spend on a gibson and would like the experience but 5k is an obscene ammount. The epiphone is 650 dollars… what is the story here? Are they nuts?
