  1. Dude i wouldnt even get a g400. i have one. i dont like it that much. has a lot of problems. like electrical , staying in tune, output jack, pickup selector switch. you would have to change stuff to play it live. or it could be just mine[crying] . but you should get the epi les paul studio. i know people who have got it and loved it. i think they have a value pack for it? but i would get a bigger amp than the one that comes with it.
  2. angus young uses the stock pickups on the gibson special which are 490t. he uses the stock stuff in the guitar. at least that what i have heard
  3. Ok so i have had it a while like 4/5 months now. its awesome stays in tune ok but my main problem is whenever i switch to the treble pickup it cuts out a lot and sometimes no sound comes out Another thing, the input jack always comes loose and the cable has to be in that right spot or no sound. i have tried other cables. i plan on returning it. any suggestions?
  4. my friend mark sent me this and i feel you should see it...
  5. haha yeah the sg bass it worse i have played them yeah i bet the strap thing might work or make the body heavier, thanks
  6. ok this is probally a dumb question but the neck is heavy on my g-400 and it dips forward if you do not hold it. is there a way to make it not do this?lol
  7. Pretty simple game, each person will post three words to contribute to the story... I'll start us off: There once was...
  8. ok thanks thats what i did today. i took it into my local music mart. i bet its just me who messed it up a little.
  9. haha yeah mine did but after one session of playing with friends it broke i got the guitar like 2 weeks ago i think
  10. yeah i put new strings on like last week. but i kinda suck at putting them on so i hope its that. but i mean i am not that bad at putting them on
  11. i did fix all that stuff(finally) and its still messing up, going out of tune realllllly fast, fret buzzes alot unless you raise the bridge alot but i like it kinda low but not low enough to fret buzz. i will take it to the shop with professionals to.
  12. come epiphone make it better! i got this guitar for my Birthday last week and the intonation is all messed up and the bridge height to, string buzzes a lot and when the rhythm/treble switch is in the middle, sometimes it bumps up and down causing it to change for a second. other than that its awesome!!!! i am most likely going to return it for a les paul studio. i wont even bother taking it to the music mart if it has this many problems out of the box! plus it goes out of turn faster than my Costco fender starcaster.lol is anyone else having this problem right out of the box? i have played guitars brand new never changed anything from the box and they all played like a new guitar should, very nice. please help?!?!?!?! plus its very neck heavy and fragile, i dropped it from like 2 in. away to a edge on accident the 2nd day i had it and the neck got a crack in it but its not really noticeable and cant really feel it but still come on
  13. ok so for my birthday i got a sg g-400, i love it its awesome. but the pick-ups are loose. both of them, they can wobble back and forth and sooner or later they will get loose i think, i dont want to mess anything up so i dont touch it but what do i do? see i dont know much about the guitar itself, just changing the strings is it. i can play well but dont know much guitars. what do i do? take it to my local music mart?
  14. oh man thanks that helps a lot epiphone forums would be much better i bet, thanks
