  1. Hello and welcome to the Forums!

P-90s are very noisy! That's their nature! Although, there are "noiseless" versions offered by other makers, I guess. Google it! Other option is to replace them with a Gibson minis, or other P-90-sized humbuckers (Seymour-Duncans, Dimarzios).

    Cheers... Bence

I recently picked up a 2011 LP 60s Tribute with Kinman P90's (HX-90) and they are as quiet as any humbuckers we've owned. Sound great too.

  2. Toothpick with Elmers/wood glue works great...done about half dozen guitars that way in recent years.

I prefer Dunlops now...as I've found three failure modes with Schallers. 1. nut on straps coming loose. 2. screw on strap button (cut-out end of guitar) coming completely out. 3. strap buttons losing their original shape thru wear to the point that the u-shaped cup no longer holds button secure (but I now know why this happened to my son's LP). It's next to impossible to accidently push a Dunlop release button while wearing the guitar...IMHO.

  3. is there any tonal differences between chambered and wheight releived I've heard there are. but which sounds cooler? [confused]

I have chambered, son has wt relieved...HIS sounds MUCH better. Got a Traditional Plus coming on Friday and expect it to ROCK with plenty of beefy growl!
