Unsung,Peerless,Samick... I have Epis from all three plants and the quality in finish and workmanship are all cosistently outstanding. The pickups are what they are in some cases, they can only work with what they are supplied.

I think it's the only place (at the base of the neck) where it's possible.

There's no massive wood in the horns to fix a screw in.

If there were, I think the guit would hang to much at the right side and it wouldn't be good to play IMO

I tend to agree,it's there because of wood thickness and it balances well there. If you didn't want to use straplocks AllParts makes an oversized button that doesn't hang out any farther than a regular button.
