  1. There have been a lot of questions recently from our customers asking “what comes with a new Epiphone guitar?” Here’s a list of what should be included when you purchase a new Epiphone instrument. If you do not receive these items, please ask your authorized Epiphone retailer about them.

    1. User’s Manual - This covers all the basic information about the care and use of our guitars as well as warranty details.

    2. Epiphone Bumper Sticker

    3. Epiphone 2-Sided Poster

    4. eSonic/eSonic-2 User’s Manual – This goes into details regarding the features, benefits and use of our preamp system that is used in most of our acoustic/electric guitars. This comes with only acoustic/electric guitars.

    5. Truss Rod Adjustment Wrench – Remember… if you don’t know how to adjust your truss rod, don’t attempt it. You could do permanent damage to your instrument. If you think an adjustment is needed, take it to an authorized service center.

Additionally, some of our guitars are priced including hard case or gigbag. Here’s a quick list of our current price list models that include cases.

    • Inspired by John Lennon Casino (‘1965” and “Revolution”): Hard Case

    • SG-Express : Gigbag

    • Emily the Strange G-310: Gigbag (and strap)

    • Zakk Wylde ZV Custom: Hard Case

    • LP-Express: Gigbag

    • Les Paul “Tribute”: Hard Case

    • All “Packs”: Gigbag

*Note: All hard cases include a locking latch with key.

  2. How much difference in tone is there with the gibson 490r/490t pickups compared to the classic 57's? Where does the difference lie,highs/lows?

I have an sg faded with the 490r and 490t and they sound very vintage to me.Compared to my sg standard they may actually sound better than the 498t.

When I view the pickup chart

    http://www.gibson.com/en-us/Division...ade%20%281%29/

which I think measures pickup outputs?,the 57 classics are very close to the 490r/490t.So where is the difference or what is the difference between them?

in my opinion ,,if it matters any ,,,i had an es 137 with the 490r & 490t in it & i think they are a really hot sounding pickup,,totally love them ,,,i now have a lespaul with the 57's in it & in my opinion i wish it had the 490's in it ,,honestly i think the 490's are hard to beat ,,again its just my opinion ,but everyone has theyre own preferences ,,,,,,,490's are hard to beat !!!!!!!!!!! :),,in my sg classic it has the p90's ,,now in that guitar ,,i love the p90's sounds
  3. Gibson is saying the Super '57 is a different pickup than the 57+.

But, from what I've read on other forums, the Super '57 is made with cheaper materials.

Basically, a cost cutting measure- as of now- Gibson isn't offering the Super 57 in the aftermarket.

"Super 57 come with Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro II. It is less expensive than a normal Gibson Les Paul Traditional. In general, Gibson compromises Standard Traditional model with those cheaper versions. This often confuses people."its just because guitar center has the money to order so many guitars for less money you dont get all the bells & whisteles when you buy lets say a traditional from guitar center as say you would get if you ordered directly from gibson,,same guitars just the g/c brand is shy a few bells & whistles ,,you get what you pay for

,,,,ive got one of the 2013 trad pro IIgood guitar great feel ,,not what a traditional use to be but its a great guitar none the less
