  1. im going to invest in new pots and wiring, probably mod it out this winter.
  2. Got the same one great sounding guitar...
  3. Custom Shops usually have the custom headstock which has inlays and binding around it, and would come with the custom case. Id offer 900, you can buy a new sg for that price. The limited Edition makes sense that usually just deals with the color and binding and hardware. Look online and see if you can find anything like it or contact gibson and send them some pics they can tell you about it.
  4. Im stoked i got my hands on one also. It was actually a great price for a limited guitar, The only think i thought was odd was the witing for the guitar is on a circut board. So im not sure about changing any caps out or anything like that.
  5. Id get a new custom LP, or something like that, looks well worn in.
  6. Theres a few ways to start. First just buy and play , if you dont like sell. Craigs list has some cheap deals. Second find sounds you like from musicians you listen to and get what they have. Incorperate that sound to your style. It took me about 15 years to figure it out for myself. Iwould have to say distortion and reverbs are a must have for me. My set up is: keeley compressor, maxon tso, tc dark matter, maxon vintage sd9, electro harmonix cathedral, space echo, danelectro reel echo, tremolo. Also check out you tube and reviews. However to each their own.
  7. Im happy with the overall tone with mine, but i just cant leave well enough alone. i hate those little caps they use. I really like the orange drop caps for some reason.

  9. Thanks for the advice. It just makes you think next time you go over to jam with a new riff, keep it to yourself.
  10. Yeah I guess they basically took the chord work to it, i didnt write lyrics but alot of solo work they couldnt play. I guess i still own the rights to that stuff since they didnt take that.

I bought a new sg limited and i was wondering how you can change the caps. It looks like they wire everything directly to a board unlike older models. Would that mean that i have to pull all of the electronics out to do anything?
  12. please steal everything i wright

  13. I played in this one band last january for maybe 4 months. I had some problems working with the other guitar player so i left. I wrote this riff and brought it to the table and then i proceeded to write chord progressions based on the same riff. I wrote a few other parts and such. To make a long story short, they still play the song in their set, am i being wrong for telling them wtf? Since its basically my song do they have any right to still use it? Id like some feedback on this topic.
