Which one(S) do you pine for the most. I miss the bark, the neck shape and feel, the satisfaction of playing a great acoustic. The one I really miss is the 2002 L-130. Now a-days I couldn't afford to reclaim it,,,if I could even find one! Live and learn? More like regret and learn! how about you people? Any that you miss? JD

Another convert to D-D tuning...but not on all of my acoustics. My favorite is a Sitka/maple NL- 00 body. It has GHS thin core 12's on it and the tone and playability is first rate.

stunning beauty! Oh, to get back to 1968......👍

Had the same happen with my L-130. The bone saddle and nut were nice, but the Tusq was superior. I know that some people consider it an "automatic" to replace Tusq to bone, but I think Gibson did it right with Tusq. That L-130 sounded mid-range perfect with the original set-up😎

Wonderful tone!

I've had a set of Monels on my maple b/s L-00 for 7 months, and yesterday I thought they sounded the best yet! Put a set of Elixir Nano's on my Crossroads a few months ago and they've begun to wear in sweetly. Just takes some time with the varying humidity and temp for those old woods to settle in😎

I'm having a great time holing up in the music room. Funny thing is I have a boat load of equipment, and what I gravitate too is simply picking up my L-00 and concentrating on refining my technique! Even in this pandemic insanity, i'm loving my play time- hope you all are too🍺

I think it's called comedy people.
If your taking it seriously then you must think Monty Python's The Holy Grail was what really happened.
Ahhh...*life is like a beanstalk, isn't it?*

My buddy plays wineries and small venues...for 30 + years. His wife never learned to play any instrument. That has all changed in the last year. She took a liking to a Yamaha I sold him, and she has begun to "play". It's never to late to start!(And she cuts her nails)😎

This thread is great! Keep 'em coming 😎

can't wait to see your write-up!!!!

I'm going to try the shim for my NLucas. I've got a very low saddle on the Bass E side and need to get the buzz from frets 9-14 ironed out. Worth a try!

I've been noticing various music stores seem to think that looks is what sells a guitar. What say you folks?
Sometimes it affects the judgement of the buyer. A certain body style is what I gravitate towards.

Being a Gibson guy I too look forward to seeing what they are like. Seems odd that there is info on other sites yet it is not been officially rolled out here on Gibson.com.
Yup......hoping to get my hands on one, soon

Man, I read all of those post's and only saw a few snarky ones. Which is pretty normal for any forum.
The responses were almost all pretty darned positive AND it went 3 pages pretty quick.
Great to finally find a post on the new G-45 standard. Should of been in this forum! Got to take it where ya find 'em😉

The mystique! We sure are fortunate! The men and women of 1900-1970 were magical. But also, the artists that learned from the originals and created a fantastic modern blues . I would like to have the Gibson Robert Johnson model!!!!!
