I have a '63 Country Western with plastic bridge and adjustable ceramic saddle... all those things a 'proper' acoustic shouldn't have and it sounds fantastic. I am lucky enough to have owned a number of great acoustic over the years including a '58 martin D28 and (more recently) a new Gibson J45 TV. My advice, for what it's worth would be if it ain't broke don't fix it!
