I have a EJ200 ce color VS .I think it a great guitar great sound the fit and finish is some of the best i have seen . Its the first EA i have that playes great great neck and the tone gets better every day . As far as tone wood i don't care i have heard great sounding fiber glass guitars . And i don't feel that glueing wood together does any harm . How cares if its plywood or solid its a great guitar and for the price you cant beat it.

Why wood a company like Gibson do false advertizing. i know they piece and glue the epiphone more then Gibson and i know gibson uses select hard woods and epiphone does not . The Zoot suit Les Paul i have has a lot of layers of wood glued together and thats made by GibsonOn a earlier thread someone claimed epiphone used nato wood and not real mahogony in their les pauls. Any truth to this?

Right on Sir. Love the P90 soundI have two recent Dots.
No need at all to change the pups. I've considered some of the Gretsch-style pups but never got around to it. There's no need for anything in the same class of HBs as noted above.
I s'pose a case can be made for p90s or old-style "Gretsch" pups - but no need at all to replace 'em with anything similar in concept.
