  1. I actually sent this one back. The hum was really annoying and you could hardly here the thing unless you turned the amp way up. Doubt I'll get another. I guess I'll just stick to my hollowbody electrics.
  2. Just came today! I'm not much of an acoustic player and more or less got this one to compliment my Inspired by John Lennon Casino. I figure it'll come in handy for song writing and travel when I don't want to lug around an amp. I must say though I really like playing it. The neck to me feels closer to an electric than those I've tried before. Plugged in it sounds good but I had to turn the amp up higher than normal to hear it. It also has an annoying hum that stops when you touch the cord plug. I've read somewhere that these have some sort of grounding issue. Could that be the case here? Anyway I'm glad I purchased it. I think It'll get used a lot more than originaly planned.
  3. Don't know why this posted twice
  4. Ok here is my Inspired by John Lennon Casino and my 50th Anniversary 1962 Sheraton! The Sheraton was sold as refurbished but it has no flaws at all. I'm thinking it may have been an overrun. I was wating for the Sheraton to be delivered before posting pics. Also have a John Lennon EJ160E being delivered tomorrow but couldn't wait anymore to show off my girls. I sold my Gibson SG standard to buy the Sheraton and don't regret it one bit. Both guitars play as well as the SG and both of them sound better. I play a lot on the clean channel or with small amount of gain and the 498T just didn't sound good. Turn the gain up and hit the power chords and it sounded fine but these do too. I'm really in love with the Casino. I've never played P90s before and I love how clear each note sounds. So here are the pics.

  6. I thought that at first but the sides and back are perfect. The funny thing is I got it out of the box, played it for a couple of days. ( it came friday )and didn't notice the marks. You can't really see them looking at it straight on or playing it. It's when I sat it on the stand I noticed them. Either way after playing it more tonight I think I'm gonna keep it. I've had Epiphones where I had to have the frets dressed and so on. Like I said this one plays so good. Also I just recently got back into playing and and have been through a few guitars trying to find one that feels right to me. I think I'm actually bonding with this one.
  7. Received my new inspired by John Lennon Casino. I absolutely love the way it plays and sounds but the top looks like it was sanded by an 5 yar old. I will see if it will show in pics and post some later if it does. I'm torn on sending it for a replacement since it came out of the box with a perfect set up. I mean it plays amazingly well. So has anyone else had this problem with theirs and is it common. If there's a chance the replacement would be the same I might as well keep this one.
  8. I got the natural and I will difinately post pics. I can't wait. I have an awesome Gibson SG, but really love playing hollow bodys.
  9. I want to pick up one of those. Saw one at Guitar Center. It was pretty sweet.
  10. At least that's how I see it. I'm waiting for my new Inspired by John Lennon Casino. Should be delivered Thursday. I compaired the specs side by side with that of the 70th anniversary model and besides a few small differences they are identical. Plus mine's NOT signed by Yoko Ono! I'm gonna put a bone nut on it and play the crap out of it!
  11. I guess I just assumed the Casino was since the three guitar playing Beatles bought Casinos instead of Gibsons. Also even though they are basically the same guitar, they aren't named the same as in the Les Paul or some other models. Anyway the main reason for asking is I'd like to get a collection of original designed Epiphones.
  12. Ah did not know that. Should have done more research before asking.
  13. Besides the Casino what other current models are original Epiphone designs?
