Hmm damn, it`s china but are they that bad?

I got a local seller that doesn`t know what he has. He says he got it 3 or 4 years ago, but is there a way to tell, visually, if it is a mik or mic version? Thanks See Pic.

My friend has a Valensi riviera and the guitar just sings. Very comparable with quality p90`s. Purest would say otherwise but I loved them.
