  1. I had a push/push break on my TP2 a few weeks ago. GAK in Brighton wanted me to send it to them, who would in turn send it on to their repair centre! For a potentiometer I said that this was a bit extreme.

I hate sending a guitar off somewhere; I'm far too protective.

  2. Hey everyone! I just got a beautiful Signature T in Vintage Sunburst. I have had it about a week and love it. I finally decided to play around with the Min Etune tonight and everything was great. It was easy to change tunings, it was quick, and it was easy. However, I have no idea how to get the battery out to charge it. I read you are supposed to push it, but you can't push the battery on mine. It seems stuck!

What should I do? I really don't want to send it back to Zzounds, as they would probably send me another model and I really like everything about mine. Should I call Gibson? It should surely be covered in the gold warranty, right?

    Ugh, this is frustrating!

Are you far from the ZZSounds store? I'd say take it back and a specialist will be able to show you how to operate the unit, and they'll be able to repair or replace the Min-Etune unit if broken. The part comes away so you don't need to worry about them replacing the entire guitar.

  3. I thought it might be something to do with the maple cap. Whenever I open the case to either of my LP's; I'm met with an aroma which smells sweet. I figured it might be due to to maple used, as maple species tress as many know, are used in maple syrup, etc.

  4. Hello, everyone. New user here, having just bought my very first Gibson [biggrin]

Very happy to say it is a Traditional model, and quite a rare one to have over in the UK; 2013 LP Traditional Pro II.

Look forward to getting involved around here!

Nice. I'm also in the UK and recently got the same guitar, but in Iced Tea.

not_the_dj: I was looking to get mine in the Iced Tea finish as well; but my local didn't have it in this finish. Merlot was the back up choice, so I'm still very happy.

I've added a few small mods since purchase; added a nickel pickup cover to the neck, as I love the Jimmy Page #1 and #2 look of neck-covered, bridge-uncovered. Also added some Gibson Historic knob pointers, as I like to have a reference as to what controls are on what (who doesn't?).
