  1. I'm a little late to the game here but here is my two cents. I have an Epi Les Paul PTP with coil tapping. I also have Fender Strat. I enjoy both. But I do like the LP coil angle a lot. Not saying it's the same as the Fender, but it is close, and gives me twice as many options at my fingertips. Try it. I like it a lot.
  2. Great video Jack. I'm looking at a Casino myself. Think your video helped seal the deal!
  3. Thanks for the comments everyone. I'm heading to GC this weekend to play a few. I have done quite a bit of research online and look forward to getting one in my hands. I've been trolling a few online sites for used as well. I don't need a tricked out guitar. In many ways the simpler the better. Will let everyone know how I fi! Thanks
  4. I'm looking to purchase a new guitar and have been looking at the new LP Studio. I realize they are still new but was wondering if anyone had any input. I had a wine red studio back in the 90s that I sold. It was a great guitar but I went all acoustic. Now getting back into electrics for fun and recording. Ant thoughts appreciated.
  5. I've had mine about a year. Same one as Crust's shown above. Great guitar. It is my go to electric. I have a MIM Strat but this LP is the one. Enjoy!
  6. Thanks Flyer91. Great info. I'm checking out the mustang and Marshall this weekend at my local GV....40 miles away! Will see what they have. On my way to Reverb.com now. Thanks much!
  7. Thanks everyone for responding. Great info. To answer Brad1, my budget goes up to about $350. Don't spend too much time in the 'dirty zone'. Blues, Classic Rock and some jazz. Play a lot of older stuff, 60s, 70s, and 80s. Like a really good clean tone, reverb and chorus. Thanks again for the info!
  8. Looking to get a new amp. Currently have a small Line VI Spider. Have some experience with fender but that was awhile ago. Been mostly acoustic till I picked up the Epi. Was wondering what others are using. Small gigs are all that I would do, don't need a beast. Thanks
