  1. Thank you JDGM the links are helpful (and interesting), and the options described accurate, now to see the difference in warrantied repairs (leaving it as it was - I am the original owner, turns out the loose wire was that way, and just pinched into a connection - as when I shut it all back up again it regained its connection even though it was loose - which is cool cause i can still play it, just cannot use the volume boost knob until it's repaired) - or changing it to be passive instead of active push push? This guitar was just going to be a back up one, but it's color and playability are fantastic, so in shows I often swap out my cherry burst lp for the turquoise one for colorful variety anyway.... that way they both get to be played.
  2. I have a Gibson Les Paul EX3 Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar, in a special edition, Carribean Night turquoise color - the push push knob that increases volume 15% has a cracked knob and will not stay down and shut off when pushed, it just pops back up, then taking it apart to see what's up, the wire to the 9V battery power it requires disconnects - now two fixes needed instead of just one - anyone have similar problems, and how did you solve them? Is the push push knob repairable or better to just replace it? I don't like that a 9 volt battery is required to power these push push knobs, it's a bummer when it runs our of power during a show - and am wondering about replacing them with the push pull type knobs on my Gibson standard LP instead - and of course this break happens on a weekend with the shops and techs are closed... and with the broken wire to the 9 v battery holder the guitar has no sound signal to the amp at all apparently - as it won't play at all. Best fixes?
