  1. I bought an Epiphone 335 pro and wanted to get a case. So you are saying it fits this guitar really well ? I looked at their website and they say be sure you know it will work for your guitar because they will not refund your money if it doesn"t fit.
  2. I happened upon this post. I have this same guitar in great condition. It belonged to my late brother in law. It was his first electric guitar. I love the sound. I have seen them listed for about same price you quoted. They are rare in that I don't think they made that many. I did see the guy from Lawman guitars say that only five in the natural color were made. Whether or not that is true I don't know. Mine appraised out at $ 2650.00 with the case. Crazy!
  3. Hey Everybody, Got my new epi 335, beautiful guitar! Started playing and after a few minutes got some serious fret buzz. I know that is to be expected. I love where the action height is now. very low but still has playable. MY QUESTION IS, Is the truss rod adjustment still lefty loosey, righty tighty ?? I am a newbie at working on guitars an like to be sure about what I do. somebody told me that epiphones were opposite of the old way. the neck is very straight. needs a little relief? thanks
  4. @ weekendstate. I hope you researched, what those are selling for these days. Some of those sixties models are worth a bundle. good luck with your sale.

  6. Hey everybody, Thought I would chime in on starter guitars that have that feature. I just bought an epi 335 pro yesterday, don't have it yet but am looking forward to trying it out. I have an e-series MIJ squire strat so I am familiar with the single coil sound. I'm sure I'll use it once in a while but it's hard to beat the sound of a good humbucker!!! just my 2 cents.
  7. Hey Mark, I have the same guitar, Mine is a 1976. If your serial # is preceded with a 99 = 1975, 00 = 1976. Beautiful guitar and you are a great player!!!
  8. Hey Everybody, I appreciate the input about the es-335. I got one from one of the big stores. Happy with the price, same as most of the used I saw online. Hopefully it won't need much work. I got the vintage sunburst. Thought that would go well with my gray hair!!! I'll post some pictures when I learn how. Thanks again
  9. Anyone out there know where to get nickel parts replated and approximately how much it might cost. I have scoured the web but can't find anything about it so far for guitar parts etc. everything is commercial plating and for large items.
  10. Thanks for the reply on the epiphone pro. One reason I asked is I think they are discontinued now and a couple places have them for sale, so I was thinking about getting one. Have not played one yet. Thanks again

  15. Hey Everybody, I have a ES-320 with nickel plated pickup covers, a switch cover and Yes a Bridge cover ! the guitar is from around 1972. I want to polish these parts. The bridge cover has a little rust on the face. I have seen Simichrome mentioned here but the website say's NOTHING about it being for use on nickel plated parts. Anyone used this or Flitz or Maas and what was the result. Thanks for any help.
  16. I love that picture! I think were from the same era. Got that Duane Allman look going on. I was curious about anybody else having a es-320.I have the walnut es-335 and the es-320 in natural maple. Both of these guitars belonged to my late brother in law. The guitars look like the are new. They sat in their cases for the last 14 years. I hope to get good enough to make them sing before my time is up. thanks for sharing the pic. I will post pictures soon. Take care
  17. Thanks again for the advice and the welcome. I hate to sound like a bozo about stuff that's second nature to a lot of you. I have a couple other guitars also that I will post about in the future. I will post some pictures soon. Anyone out there have an es-320 ????
  18. Hi everybody, I am a beginning guitar player. I was given a beautiful guitar that is way out my league. The strings have not been changed in a few years. The guitar has that triangular tailpiece past the bridge. I don't want to mess anything up when I change strings. Is there any special technique on the older gibsons. Thanks in advance for any help.
