    I'm not really sure what the best idea would be for the higher gloss, non faded, series. I used a wipe on Poly.. I know I know, the Paul has Nitro on it.. But I had no idea where to get ahold of that stuff. Still, the poly looks great and blended fantastic. You may want to look into some sort of Nitro, as you have some scratches around your binding. I do believe unwaxed Nitro would "blend" in to the new Nitro.. Correct me if I'm wrong tho.

     

    Yea the scratches were from moving too fast with sandpaper and using the sanding bit on a Dremel type tool.

    I think I prefer to leave it unfinished than to put poly. Nothing is wrong with poly, but it already has nitro, so I may just leave it unfinished.

    I did the same, except I made mine more pronounced from the front. It looks great on yours. Here are some pics of mine.

    Sorry for the poor angle. I had taken more, then deleted some and now these are the only ones left. If you would like to see more I'll take more.

     

    EDIT: Could you point me to a similar product to what you used to clear coat it?

    In the limited time that I have looked, I didn't see anything suitable?

    3 Pickup ES 355???

    Hey guys. Anyway' date=' my question is if anyone has ever seen a 3 pickup ES 355. Preferably a 355, but anything in the 335 family would do, excluding the 339. And if not, could it be added? Similiar to Alvin Lee's "Big Red" guitar, but with a full size humbucker in the Middle. [/quote']

    People Magazine's 100 Most Beautiful

    I wasn't making fun of anyone' date=' I simply don't think that she belongs on the 100 Most Beautiful, and I think it sends the wrong message putting her on there. Since Howard Stern brought this topic up on his show (commenting about her weight, and saying it will prevent her from getting any leading role in Hollywood, and the health risks associated with being that big) it seems mainstream media has gone out of their way to make her feel like there is nothing wrong with her. Well there is, SHE IS OBESE, it's one of the biggest (no pun intended) epidemics in America.

     

    Tell me, if she deserves to be on the 100 Most Beautiful list, why aren't Ralphie May and Gabriel Iglesias on there too?

    I definitely did not have the intention of jumping at you and I sincerely apologize if it came across like that.

     

    What I said, I meant as a fact, like Fenn said it depends on the year,

    I just assumed that it was a fairly recent one, after the BB came out. So I just figured it would have the BB's and not 57's, although I know previous years had it.

     

    When I said save a few models, I still meant recent recent times.

     

    Sorry if it came across as though I were jumping at you.

     

    And believe me, I am definitely not a know it all, I don't pretend to be....so I hope I didn't come off like that either.

    No, its the Burstbucker 1 and either 2 or 3

     

    I think that goes for all Historics save a few.

    Since you put it that way...I'll switch!! (YOU guess from which to which!)

     

    Well that could mean, you need to switch from Coca Cola to Pepsi, for the reason the name implies...small individuals...ahem...or you are switching from Pepsi to Coke, because you don't want people to think that you need the help for small individuals..

     

    Although the first is funnier, so I say Coke to Pepsi!

    ES-175 Bigsby Install

    Thank you. I appreciate the support. I test drove the Gretsch 5120 and 5122 and looked at some of the higher end models. Although nice sounding Guitars especially with the Bigsby' date=' my style is more jazzy than country. Besides, I already overspent my budget on the 175 when I acquired it a couple of years ago - still recovering. I will not drill any holes. If the hole patterns on the Hinge plates match, I most likely will go for it.

     

    A couple of issues though: 1) the '53 175 has a plastic strap button (not the screw type button), which looks like it is wedged in solid. Not sure I want to mess with it. 2) will I need a new bridge?, 3) Bigsby recommended the B6 but could not provide the dimensions for the Hinge hole pattern. Any detail dims?[/quote']

     

    Just ensure the route you take is reversible, you'd hate to ruin a '53. What brundaddy suggested sounds good.
