[Trading Midtown Custom]

Thinking of trading my Midtown Custom Ebony. Choice is between a ebony 2014 Classic with the boost switch or a 2003 Classic Honey Burst. Equal value or stick with the Midtown?

There is a lot of disagreement about my new 2013 Midtown Custom. Some people like them some people don't. I think it fits perfectly tonally between my LP Traditional and my CS 1983 ES335 VOS. When I can't decide between playing the LP or 335, I grab the Midtown..

It has just a hint of 335 woody airiness and the punch of a LP. It is a different and welcome sound to me. You can make it ring or growl. And is really classy looking.

My Writing Muse hit me late in life. I'm just a retired sofa blues player, not interested in recording myself or thrashing around on stage. Over the past 8-10 months I've been waking up with lyrics in my head that I had to write down to shut her up...

 

I've got lyrics for 4 songs;

 

"Guitar Jones Blues" A traditional slow blues tune

"Biddy Early Biddy Early" An old fashioned folk ballad (true story)

"Gas Station Sushi" A uptempo humorous song

"Drawing on a Mexican Straw" An easy going laid back vacation song
