  1. Oscar, it's your first post, did mommy threaten to spank if you didn't post?
  2. The tobacco sunburst on my guitar has been checking, I like a refinish. Do I buy clear nitrocellulose from ML Campbell and brown wood dye to mix them together? https://reverb.com/ca/item/83990-gibson-les-paul-standard-1988-tobacco-sunburst-guitar-vintage Is this two tone or three tone? I'm not sure where to buy the dye colors or proper nitrocellulose. My second option is to paint-strip the whole guitar and pick a new color, how about classic white? http://www.pourlesmusiciens.com/gibson-les-paul-standard-classic-white-guitare-electrique-solidbody-occasion-vintage.html
  3. The tobacco sunburst on my guitar is cracking, I like a refinish. Do I buy clear nitrocellulose from ML Campbell and brown wood dye to mix them together? https://reverb.com/ca/item/83990-gibson-les-paul-standard-1988-tobacco-sunburst-guitar-vintage
  4. I saw a 1988 Les Paul Standard in Gold Top, does that exist or is it only Reissues? I'm really worried because I have a 1988 myself. Are there resource to show all color/finish availability for the year?
  5. You're quite amazing. I couldn't find info on color of guitar by serial number. I have a subscription to Vintaxe.com for old catalogs and I couldn't find a white Les Paul Standard in 1988. Please pm me.
  6. I think it was sold for $1,200. How much would you pay for it? https://ebay.ca/itm/Gibson-Les-Paul-Standard-Best-price-on-ebay/323182653584?hash=item4b3f2ff090:g:74QAAOSw3gJZIO51
  7. It is quite affordable compared to other les pauls of the same year. I thought it was a fascinating sale.
  8. I saw this guitar on ebay, I like to know more about it. I never saw a guitar flake paint like this one, is it genuine? I trust this person, but worried nonetheless.
  9. I want to know the material and construction of 1988 Les Paul Standard. Specifically, what country of origin are the mahogany and rosewood and maple?
