foglesre
They just told Jerry, "No" there was no reason. I'm not sure, but I wonder, if Epiphone did a limited run, charged $1000.00 and sold out, would that be enough of sign that they had a viable product? Back in August 2010, Jim Rosenberg from Epiphone (now president) posted on the 4henry.gibson.com forum"Hi Jon,Thanks for the post and your suggestion. Given that the Casino is a top-seller of ours and clearly an iconic Epiphone model, I would agree with you that we should probably offer it in a left-handed version. I'll see what I can do!Thanks again,Jim Epi" In may of this year, Jim told me, " Regarding a lefty Casino (and other lefties), we are aware of the requests and recognize that it’s an opportunity. However, we don’t have any details to share at this time. When we do, we’ll be sure to announce it." Not terribly hopeful...
Fraser
After months of searching and being disappointed with the left handed Epiphone found second hand (particularly a second hand Sheraton 2 from a pawn shop, which felt too light and cheap to me, plus ropey pots and internals) I finally tracked down a left handed arch top, brand spanking new, available to try out in a guitar shop in Glasgow. Hagstrom Viking, thoroughly recommended, lovely tone, and they are currently being manufactured. Thank you Hagstrom, thankyou Merchant City music, and thanks for nothing Epiphone.
