Sleeko
Hello, I was wondering if any forum members had any suggestions on how to keep the nickel plating on my ES-335 from tarnishing. This is occurring on the bridge and tailpiece where is rest my hand to play. Thanks Sometimes the lining of the case will cause this as well. Try putting a soft cloth over the parts before closing the lid. Had an Emperor Regent and you could see the outline of the tarnish where the "fur" came into contact. Worth a try. Also I give a few hot breaths over the parts to steam them up and then wipe with a soft cloth - like cleaning your glasses. Good luck.
roadhog96
If there tarnished and you want them to retain their original appearance you can use a metal polish like Simichrome or Maas. It's a very fine cream polish for many fine metal finishes. http://www.simichrome-polish.com/ http://www.maasinc.com/maas_metalpolish_products.aspx

mtown
Thanks for all the suggestions. I purchased some Maas cleaner and polish and it did the job. The nickel plating looks as good as new.
