Fabrice Posted June 26, 2013 Share Posted June 26, 2013 Hi , is the speedtaper D-profile neck have the same thickness as the slimtaper D Profile neck (especially to the 12th fret) ? somebody told me that the speedtaper is slimer than the slimtaper. Bluemans335 Posted June 27, 2013 Share Posted June 27, 2013 I also have big hands and do not like the slim taper D necks that Epi's been putting on some models recently. I had a 1962 P-90 SG that I sold because the neck was wide, but very thin (front to back). Didn't like the feel of it at all; not comfortable and not condusive to good tone. Felt like someone at the factory cut off too much of the neck. If the speed taper neck is even thinner, I can't see it working for anyone but little girls.
