gotomsdos
In which year was James Taylor's J-50 made ? It has block logo and 19 frets, so I guess it's a 1948-1954 one. Any guy who knows the exact year ?
tvguit
I see 20 frets in the pictures I'm looking at. I think it is a mid 60s model with the pickguard removed so it's difficult to tell.

Sorry tvguit. It does have 20 frets. But 20 frets began from 1955, and his J-50 doesn't seem to have ADJ(beginning from 1956), if so, it's a 1955 one. so I wonder how you know it's a mid 60s one? tvguit
The inlays around the soundhole are not 50s style. I'm not sure when they changed, maybe 1962?
