I play a Gibson J-200 for my acoustic show and now it's time to upgrade the electric and get the Gibson 335. I'm open for your opinions and suggestions on this model.

Fun fun fun. Love to hear from you guys.

Justin

Only upgrade I did to mine was a bone nut added, other than that stock

I gigged a 1975 ES-335 (block neck, trapeze tailpiece) for 20 years in a blues band. When it was worn out I replaced it with a 2000 "Historic Series" ES-345 (split parallelagrams, stop tail, mono, varitone, gold hardware, etc).

IF.... I was looking to buy a new Gibson ES-335, the first model I would look at would be this one:

http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/ES/Gibson-Custom/ES-335-Block-Inlay.aspx

To me, this guitar offers the best combination of all the 335 models rolled into one.
