simont
I swear my heart jumped when I saw the link "Gibson Dark Fire Downloads". Alas it is a link to existing info. PT 2 has 14 internal switches to activate/deactivate components according to the selected operating mode. In this way we spend just the energy for the essential components. Would they be hardware or software switches I wonder. Could this mean there is the possiblity of us having the the PIEZO Out "operational while charging" in the future? ScottiesInBoca
Glad to see this thread. I was going batty trying to figure out why I was not getting any output from the Acoustic output no matter what setting I used - even though I was using their stereo cable from the guitar to the "charger." It worked through a MONO output direct to the amp, but not when I tried following the instructions for a split acoustic / electric sound. There really needs to be a manual. elantric
Remove the "wal wart charger" from the black splitter box - and then try the Acoustic Out jack - it will work.
simont
DARK FIRE OWNER’S MANUAL (version 122908) Page 10 ...... The independent Piezo Out is not available for use during charging, because the charging is being conducted on the sleeve of the stereo plug. If you are using Piezo signal, it will be blended in mono with your regular pickup output at the tip of the plug, and it will also pass through the Amp output. Thats good news for us live Piezo users :)/
