I'm living in China for a moment, so the shortest and easiest way to get a second hand axe is a chinese version of E-bay, called Taobao.com Foreseeing the phews, It's a decent place, not everything you buy in China is a fake. So, there is a seller with 2 options: 2005 and 1990 years made for about a same price ($2300 for 1990 and $2400 for 2005). I've been told, that the ol'good gibsons are made in old 80s, before the trashy era of 1990s. What would be your choice? Appreciate your opinions! swlabr Posted September 16, 2013 Share Posted September 16, 2013 I suggest the 2005. I have a 2006 and it's the best sounding guitar I own. The only issue you might experience is with the Corian nut, which can create tuning issues. I replaced mine with a bone nut and the difference is huge. Good luck!
