Hello from Switzerland

This is my first post.

I have the new Memphis ES 295. Amazing guitar.

The sound, the smell😉, i really love this guitar.

I miss one thing... The bigsby!

Somebody knows what kind of bridge should I

put on the guitar? I have a B6 bigsby.

Thanks

Nicolas

Something along these lines should do the job nicely: http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Bridges,_tailpieces/Archtop_guitar_bridges/Tune-o-matic_Bridge_For_Archtop_Guitar.html?actn=100101&xst=3&xsr=18074

You'll need to fit the base of the bridge to the top of the guitar. You can get all-wood bridges, or there's the Bigsby all-metal bridge, but intonation may be an issue particularly if you use an unwound G, and there are the various Gretsch bridges that should work with a little fettling if you particularly like the look of them.

Hi Jim,

I like to use the bigsby a lot. I have few Gretsch guitars with bigsby.I saw some old 295 from the fifties with bigsby. Like Danny Gatton. A lot of owners changed the original tail piece ... But I dont know...😉this is really Nice guitar

Nothing wrong with fitting a Bigsby!

The B6 will mean little or no modification to the guitar - my ES-330 and Epi Casino both have B6s fitted using the original screw holes - and if you use a vibrato it makes sense to fit one. I've seen lots of original 295s with Bigsbys, so you're not alone in thinking it's a good idea.
