finn
Today I will be fitting a Gibson Legendary Series P-90 into a Epiphone 57' Reissue of the les paul junior. I have looked all over the web for a wiring diagram but cannot seem to find any that match the pickup I have bought. The diagrams all show two wires coming from the pickup, I large twisted one and a small insulated white wire. I do have both these wires but the insulated wire is only about an inch long and has been soldered to the back of the pickup. So does anyone know what I am supposed to do with this big old wire hanging out the back of the pickup? Thanks in advance.

cjsinla
You solder it in. The two wires are contained in one. The long twisted part is the ground and is soldered to the back of the pot, the center part goes to the pole on the pot. Look at the pot in the top right of this pic, that's the volume pot.
