Jammin' Joe Posted October 20, 2013 Share Posted October 20, 2013 I bought a couple of NOS pots off of Ebay and on the back of the packaging there was a list of strings. It listed the 740LC. I used to use those strings on my old Silvertone. I always loved the 10-39 sets. Why did Gibson quit making them? I never really liked heavy bass strings on my guitars and it's so hard to find 10's with lighter bass strings. The closest I can find are 10-38's and those are pretty hard to find. I wish more companies would start making sets with 10-28 or 10-39. If I remember correctly, Gibson used to have a set that went from 11-39, but I'm not sure.
