strumbert
Hello, I am an acoustic guy, but a friend needs help pricing a used Epi FAT-S210. I think he got a package deal with practice amp, gig bag etc. Any idea what he might ask on c'list? Thanks, Tim
milod
My understanding is that it's a decent Fat Strat copy that sold as a beginner pack for under $300. I couldn't find anything noting the neck radius, but the scale is pretty much Strat, ditto the nut. It appears manufacture was dropped about the time Epi went from contracting Korean factories to building its own in China. I didn't find any nasties about it, but it is what it is. Fender's Squiers with similar pup configurations run from about $130 to $179 - maybe $200 as a beginner pack with gig bag, 10-watt amp... that's Sweetwater and three single pole pups. Sweetwater also has a new HSS (humbucker, single, single) fat strat with a 15-watt amp, gig bag, etc., etc., new for $250. A bit better quality amp strat pack for $350. That's all new. So... depending on the desire for a used Epi... pay your money and take your choice. m
