cheese345
Hi everyone, I posted this to the wrong area initially, and i apologise if i have posted this in the wrong place again. I got this guitar as a gift a long time ago (link to album below). I don't have much time to play it anymore so am thinking about selling it can get the love it deserves. I just wondered if this is a genuine DG-335 or a knock off? and how much it could be worth? I can supply new pictures if needed. Your help would be greatly appreciated Thanks guys. http://imgur.com/a/bj7O4#
AMSnell
Hi there, Lovely guitar, I have an identical one just like it also in the Pelham Blue! I am 99.9% certain that is a genuine DG-335, yes. The fakes, even the good ones, fall short on a number of details. Firstly, the colour of the fakes is off. Then the inlays are often wrong, and you never get all that case candy. So yes, you have a lovely (and quite valuable!) Gibson DG-335. Give it a good clean and polish (virtuoso cleaner/polish is the best bet) and sell it to someone who will love it! Hope that helps, any other questions let me know. Alex.
