tomsawyer50
Hello all and Merry Christmas 2013! This is my first post to these boards, and I have a basic question, I'm contemplating trading my 2012 Gibson Les Paul faded blue on a Epiphone Les Paul Ultra 111 faded cherry . Does this seem like a good trade, I know that it's a personal choice, but I can't seem to bond with this Gibson at all. It has a chunky type neck and I'm not sure what kind of neck the Epiphone has. I have two other Epi's and I love the way they both play. Any thoughts are appreciated.
tomsawyer50
Thanks Midtowner: The Nanomag acoustic was another reason that I thought that the trade should be a good one: Having the versatility of that would be the offset of giving up those Burst bucker pros in the Les Paul studio. I really have liked every Epiphone that I have owned. Nothing against Gibson.. It's just that it seems that if you want the quality associated with their instruments, you have to shell out the $$$$$$$…
tomsawyer50
Hello again, It turns out that the Epi was a Ultra 11 but it doesn't matter, I went forward with the trade, and I am very happy thus far.
6string
Glad you found one you liked. I know the feeling of not bonding. And now that Gibson will live on and maybe be someone else's dream guitar.
