izston
I have a 1986 Hummingbird which was fitted with an aftermarket pick up by it previous owner, I presume all those years ago. The pickup is no longer working or the same brand (A.G.A Phase 2) available. I am seriously thinking about having the pickup removed and the hole filled professionally with mahogany. I am not too concerned with the appearance as I very much doubt that I will ever sell the guitar. But I am concerned with wether I can expect any tonal changes. I would appreciate any opinions or suggestion from the forum. P.S Just quietly I quite like the look of Willie Nelson's and Tommy Emmanuel's acoustics as they have that story telling look, if you know what I mean. izston
