BASSPLAYER1968
This guitar was bought in the late 40s or 50s in the Puryear TN area. My father has passed away and that is what i know about it. I have found no marking or numbers I have attached pics and would really like to know what model Gibson this is I cannot find one online in that color and style Thanks for all help
Stringtao
It looks like an ES 125 but I don't recall them having those fret markers. It's usually a dot. I think the speed knobs are replacements too.
Stringtao
Maybe I was wrong about the speed knobs. Here a page that has a '46 es125 that looks like yours. I hope this helps http://www.rocknrollvintage.com/products.asp?cat=Recently+Sold+Guitars+and+Amps
tvguit
Yep, it's an ES-125. Probably made 1946 or so depending on the logo. That one is interesting because it appears to have a Mahogany top and possibly some finish work. I'm looking for one of those so message me if you're interested in selling. Cool guitar.
