My questions is about the single volume knob located on the pic guard, rather than the dual knobs on the body? I gotten opinions such as a converted acoustic, special order, fake, any help would be appreciated. The guitar has a Kalamazoo label wit the serial number 407903 again thank you regards Joe. I've seen HR's with 1, 2, 3 and 4 knobs, one or two pickups and just about every pickup type except strat. Not all were Epiphones, but somebody could have done a "tribute" guitar to one of his, they'd seen in the past. Howard was rarely satisfied with his guitars and constantly changed, improved (depending on your point of view) his guitars. I happen to like the look of yours. Enjoy it.
