Bryced
Interesting thread. Each to their own I guess. For years now I have always had a one in one out policy. This stemmed from discovering that it always bugged me - a lot -to own guitars I didn't play regularly enough. This made GAS a little easier to control. Mind you it did return strongly when the J35 came out. I always wanted that guitar. Why? Usual reasons- looks, sound, history etc. I was delighted when Gibson reintroduced it and even more so when the reality of ownership matched up to the desire. It covers all my acoustic bases. I sold cheaper guitars to get it. My present'herd' - j35, American Special Tele and Gretsch Bobtail reso- satisfy all my fretboard noodling. Never say never but I am probably done buying. All are well made, look and sound great. Plus they are - relatively speaking- pretty affordable given the outstanding quality they represent. These are truly great days to be a guitarist.
