joejoecat Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 I just recently purchased a Gibson Acoustic serial No 887246 stamped on the back of the headstock. No "made in USA" stamp. It has spruce top that is bound with white. The back is laminated mahogany(not bound) and the sides are mahogany(laminated ?). The body is 19 inches long, lower bout is 14 1/4 wide and the upper bout is 11 1/8 wide. The scale is 23 3/4.It has an adjustable rose wood bridge and a rose wood fingerboard. It is ladder braced. I was told it was Jubilee but I'm really not sure. Any help in identifying would be appreciated.
tvguit Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 The model designations changed around during this time period but I believe it's a 1969 Gibson LG-0.
joejoecat Posted May 17, 2014 Author Posted May 17, 2014 Thanks for your reply. What throws me is the bound white top and the serial number would indicate 1967 also the adjustable bridge. Could it be an LG -1 or 2 ?
