lozartuk
Hi I am about to buy this guitar, just wanted to confirm its genuine. Apparently it has a 60s neck and was made for the japanese market so you can't get hold of them over here??? Could anyone give me a valuation of it please? It was made in 2006 and is in 'excellent condition'...
Zaphod B
I believe Gibson did make a double-cut Junior for the US market, but that they've been discontinued. Here's some remaining stock at Sweetwater.com, selling new for about $850 USD: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/LPFDWCCH/ Also, the Custom Shop makes '58 Junior DCs in TV yellow, but they run about $2000. lozartuk
Is it worth $1400?
Zaphod B
Is it worth $1400? Not if it's a Gibson USA model. Nowhere close.
lozartuk
I know there were some made for the US market and that they've been discontinued, and that link you gave me was the wrong guitar. This guitar was made in the USA but for the japanese market. It has a 60s neck so is different from anything else i've seen, it's supposed to be a '58 model. Can anyone give me a value?
